I have been in the bee products industry for almost 10 years, the supplement industry for 12 years. Having started with a focus on Wisconsin American Ginseng, I soon found that only one supplement source could provide everything that I need on a daily basis. Royal Jelly is natures most perfect source of nutrition and when coupled with bee pollen, propolis and honey, it provides the full spectrum of vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

In 2000 I set about developing a formulation of the four main bee products combines into one capsule. I looked closely at fresh liquid versus lyophilized and studied the various processes carefully. I was astounded to discover that some suppliers of so-called fresh, liquid royal jelly are actually providing a very substandard product. There are two tricks they employ – first is to use a pasteurized liquid royal jelly, then claim it’s ‘unprocessed’ and somehow better than powdered royal jelly which has never seen heat. The second trick is even more startling, some suppliers take powdered royal jelly (lyophilized) and re-hydrate it with water or a liquid preservative, then sell it as a liquid capsule in gel form. So, my formulation was going to be produced by a manufacturer who’s processes are sound and totally transparent. Having found a licensed facility to produce this supplement it was then necessary to come up with an optimum formulation. This took a while but eventually the final product was released to market in 2001. Almost nine years later we have sold over one million bottles of Total Bee Plus and many, many bottles of royal jelly, bee pollen and other combination supplements.
